Adjusting the Display Settings of KPI Charts

Proceed as follows to adjust the display settings of KPI charts:

  1. Start transaction /DVD/MON.

  2. In the menu bar, click Settings > User settings.

  3. Click Charts.

  4. Select the options explained below based on your preferences.

  5. Click Save.

The following option is available:

  • Use JavaScript jqCharts: Allows you to display charts implemented by JavaScript. Charts in JavaScript enable you to perform more interactive actions as described below. They also display large amounts of data in charts more quickly.

If you enable charts, which are implemented through JavaScript, you can also select the following actions:

  • Stretch series: Stretches all displayed charts to the selected time intervals.

  • Display legend in charts: Displays a legend in all charts.

  • Enable zooming: Enables you to zoom in and zoom out within a chart.

  • Chromium compatibility: Executes an additional wait command to be able to synchronize jqCharts with ABAP processing. This setting is disabled by default. Only enable it if you are using the browser Edge (based on Chromium) as your default browser in SAP GUI and if no KPI charts are displayed as expected.

    • If this setting does not resolve the issue with displaying KPI charts, try changing the default browser to Internet Explorer in the SAP GUI settings.

  • Force using IE browser for jqCharts: If enabled, this setting overwrites the default registry value for the default browser in SAP GUI with the value Internet Explorer for the current user.

    • This setting is disabled by default. Only enable it in exceptional cases where KPI charts are not displayed as expected when using the default browser Edge (based on Chromium) and it is not possible to permanently change this default browser in the SAP GUI settings.

  • Save jqChart source to memory: Allows you to store the generated jqChart source for displaying data in KPI charts in the memory to facilitate root cause analysis in case of unexpected issues while displaying data in KPI charts.

    • This flag is disabled by default. It should only be enabled for investigation purposes to avoid any other unexpected issues when storing too much data in the ABAP memory.

    • If this setting is enabled, a new list box will be displayed for jqChart functions in the tab KPI Charts to display the generated jqChart source in a separate window.

NOTE

If generated Java scripts are not synchronized with ABAP as expected, the following error occurs: ReferenceError: $ is not defined.

All settings are saved for a particular user and are restored during the next run of CrystalBridge® Monitoring

If the saved settings are no longer suitable, you can click Reset to default settings (F2).
